Hope you are all doing well. I have added a picture of John's headstone with the pictures that were added to it. It is going to be amazing. I can't wait for it to come in. It should be in mid to late June.
I have also added the flyer for the blood drive in John's memory. It is April 24th at Sts. John & Paul Gym from 1-7. There will also be a bocce tournament May 15 and 16 to raise money for the John Buskirk Scholarship Fund at Sts. John & Paul.
I'm still working with John's academic advisor on his diploma we should know more next week. He was waiting on the final approval. That's about all for now talk to you soon.

Jess, I have not been on the blog for a while - I decided to visit - and what did I learn ... it is John's birthday. My 60 mile bike ride in the Chagrin RIver valley today all of a sudden became so much more meaningful.
As you know - I will be running the Cleveland marathon on 5.17.09 in honor of John and his buddy Luke. A decision I made on Jan 1st, when I walked out of his hospital room ... the last time I talked with him.
I am getting really nervous, but also excited. I am nervous - just because. I am excited because I et got honor John and his buddy Luke, wearing John's purple 'Leukemia society of America' singlet (from 1998).
Hey Jess, I just wanted to let you know that I was thinking about you. Thanks so much for your card! Good Luck at team in training!
